Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (ACA)
The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act legislation was signed into law March 23, 2010. Some of the main features of the law that affect Health Centers and Primary Care Associations (PCAs) are the health insurance marketplaces and the expansion of Medicaid, which came into effect in January 2014.
