2010 CHAMPS REGION VIII HEALTH CENTER SALARY SURVEY REPORT
This report of 2010 salary, benefits, turnover, and vacancy data was planned, implemented, and compiled through collaborative efforts between CHAMPS and the Region VIII State Primary Care Associations (AUCH, CCHN, CHAD, MTPCA, and WYPCA). The final report, analyzing data for 98 clinical and non-clinical positions, includes information from 49 organizations representing large and small organizations from all Region VIII states in a variety of locations (rural, urban, frontier) and serving diverse populations (communities, migrants, homeless). 2010 CHAMPS Organizational Members will receive one complimentary copy of this report; interested parties (members and non-members) are invited to order additional copies.

2011-2012 CHAMPS REGION VIII HEALTH CENTER DIRECTORY
This spiral-bound directory is a comprehensive listing of all Region VIII main grantee and satellite sites, including Community, Homeless, and Migrant Health Centers (CHCs) as well as state Primary Care Associations. CHC listings also provide the names and contact information for administrative and clinical staff working at each site. CHAMPS Organizational Members will receive one complimentary copy of the directory; interested parties (members and non-members) are invited to order additional copies.

2004 CHAMPS REGION VIII RECRUITMENT & RETENTION SURVEY
In October 2003, CHAMPS began collaborating with Region VIII State Primary Care Associations to create a Regional Recruitment and Retention Survey to identify a regional strategy for attracting and keeping talented professionals in community health. We hope Health Centers will use the data compiled from this survey to develop and/or modify their own Recruitment and Retention Plans.

REGION VIII BPHC UNIFORM DATA SYSTEM (UDS) SUMMARIES
The Bureau of Primary Health Care (BPHC) gathers annual data from CHCs across the country through the Uniform Data System (UDS). CHAMPS compiles this information from across Region VIII to create a regional summarized history of UDS information, providing three and five year trends of selected Region VIII and national data, plus breakdowns of data (as well as percentages) by state, Region VIII, and nation for the current year. The information presented in each of the summaries includes:
- CHC users, staffing, encounters, and income information
- Total cost per patient and medical cost per medical encounter, two Health Center Program Business Plan Performance Measures (beginning with the 2004-2008 summary)
- Diabetes and hypertension health outcomes and disparities (beginning with the 2006-2010 sumamry)

The CHAMPS online Job Opportunities Bank (JOB) is an interactive resource providing detailed descriptions about open clinical and non-clinical positions at CHCs, PCAs, and health center related organizations throughout Region VIII. CHAMPS analyzes the information contained in the Job Opportunites Bank annually to provide information about recruitment efforts and fill rates throughout the region.

REGION VIII DATA SUMMARIES
CHAMPS is pleased to offer a series of documents summarizing Region VIII demographic and health data pulled from numerous sources including census information, national behavioral health surveys, and vital statistics. The summaries will provide useful information on population and health trends in the region. By offering state, regional, and national side-by-side data on socio-economic information, lifestyle issues, and morbidity and mortality rates, the summary charts can play a useful role in identifying needs assessments, program and service development, and quality improvement efforts.

CHAMPS QUARTERLY NEWSLETTERS
CHAMPS produces this newsletter four times a year and distributes it to Region VIII CHC, PCA, and PCO personnel as well as to other regional and national organizations and interested parties. It provides ongoing timely, valuable communications about: state, regional, and national news; federal policy and announcements; Health Disparities Collaboratives news and activities; MPCN news and activities; Workforce Development news and activities; and highlights about Region VIII CHCs and PCAs.
