Uncompahgre Medical Center (UMC) is a Community Health Center in southwest Colorado that is seeking a Dental Director to lead the clinical staff and program to ensure that the highest quality oral health care is provided to our community.

This position requires a minimum of 32 hours direct patient care and participates in management level decision-making with special attention paid to underserved populations, clinical implications and public health.
• Function as the clinical leader for the oral health program. Provide clinical oversight and direction to all dental services, including primary, secondary and preventive dental care, and related functional areas.
• Ensures that the mission and goals of the organization are realized through the professional and effective delivery of oral health services.
• Manages all budgetary and personnel related functions, provides general dentistry services, identifies unmet oral health needs, optimizes available resources, and facilitates systemic change.

UMC is 35 miles from Telluride, a world class mountain resort.

Service area in SW Colorado represents small remote communities and is located approximately 35 miles from Telluride, CO. Outdoor recreation abounds: skiing, hiking, mountain biking, fishing, hunting, river rafting and more.
   
Other:
Position may be eligible for loan repayment through the National Health Service Corps or the Colorado Health Service Corps.
